Regular Giving
At St. Luke’s we rely on the generosity of our congregation and the income we generate from sharing our space with local groups. This support is what allows us to keep St. Luke’s open, active, and available as a resource for the entire Battersea community. We are deeply grateful for every contribution that helps us sustain our ministry and our home.

Your Generosity at Work
At St Luke’s we operate a single, unified fund. Every penny given to the church goes into one central pot, which is then carefully managed to fund our worship, care for our community and support our global mission. Here is exactly how your financial gifts are distributed:
-
A significant portion of our giving is sent directly to the Diocesan Parish Support Fund. This is our contribution to the wider Church, which centrally funds clergy stipends, housing, training, and pension costs. Crucially, this fund operates on a model of shared generosity—our contribution helps support less affluent parishes across the diocese, ensuring that Christian ministry can thrive in every community, regardless of financial means.
-
A major portion of the pot is kept right here to keep St. Luke’s running smoothly and safely. This covers our operational essentials—heating and lighting our building, insurance, maintenance, administration, and safeguarding compliance. It also directly funds our day-to-day community work, including our children's playgroups, community events, musical ministry, and pastoral care resources.
-
We believe a church should always look outward. A dedicated percentage of our central pot is set aside specifically for external mission. This money is distributed directly to our 19 chosen local, national, and international charity partners. This means that by giving regularly to St. Luke’s, you are automatically and directly supporting grassroots relief, rehabilitation, and development projects across the world.
