Families
We love welcoming children, the young and old into our community with activities designed just for them. Families with little ones can join our regular term-time playgroup or gather for our all-year-round weekly ‘Play and Pray’ sessions (keep an eye out for our ad-hoc French version, ‘Oui Play’!). For older children aged 10 and up, our Youth Group meets on the last Friday of every month for a dedicated evening of fun and games. And we are always open to all for our weekly Wednesday coffee mornings.
9 am Family Sunday Service
Every Sunday*
This 30 minute fun and informal service is specifically curated for young families. The weekly sermon is re-imagined with playful activities to bring vitality and meaning to Bible stories. Our robed junior choir leads us in choral worship. After the service, we gather at the back of the church for tea, coffee, and a chance to catch up. For the children, the fun continues with informal, service-inspired activities—whether it's colouring, making a symbolic craft to take home, or simply enjoying some free play together.
*This is replaced by the 9.30am All Ages service on 1st Sunday of the month
Play & Pray
Every Wednesday in church 9.30 am
Join us in our beautiful sanctuary for our weekly session designed for pre-schoolers and their parents or carers. We begin with a period of relaxed free play, allowing children to explore and adults to connect in a friendly atmosphere.
Each session concludes with a gentle story, familiar songs, and a short prayer. Whether you are a regular at St. Luke’s or visiting for the first time, it is a wonderful way to introduce little ones to the church community in a fun, low-pressure setting. No need to book and no cost - just turn up!
If you have any questions please get in touch with our Families and Community Lead, Alison Roche

Youth Group (Year 5 and above)
Our Youth Group offers a relaxed, casual space with no religious content or instruction—just a brilliant way for older kids to connect in a safe, familiar environment.
Run in the community hall by our Families & Community Lead with the support of parent volunteers. We have table tennis, pool, chess, plenty of Lego, and other games on the go, alongside pizza and ice-cream. While members of the clergy team are always there to host and chat if the kids have any questions, the evening is completely unstructured.
We meet once a month on a Friday evening during term time, 6.30 - 8.00 pm. Check out our Events Page for upcoming dates and to book your place. We highly encourage the kids to bring along friends from school or outside the church community—everyone is welcome and it is free!
Oui Play!
Tuesdays at 3.30 pm
Our newest addition to our children offering is this French speaking play and pray session. All levels of french speaking welcome! Email the office to find out more or join the email list.
