Music

Music plays a major part in the life of St Luke's.

We are fortunate to have a large adult choir led by a talented Director of Music, Derek Carden. The choir, which is robed, leads the singing at the 10:30 Eucharist every Sunday morning and at other large services. An anthem is sung every week. 

Our Junior Choir sings at the weekly 9am Family Sunday Service and joins the adult choir at the All Ages Service 9:30am on the first Sunday of the month. 

Choral Evensong is sung on the first Sunday of the month. 

We are grateful for the financial support of the church and community members over the years which has enabled the recent restoration of the church organ - a fine example of a Lewis organ. 

The St Luke's Music Society provides a magnificent programme of concerts embracing a wide range of musical styles and genres.
