Junior Church takes place in the Community Hall during the 10.00am Parish Eucharist service all year, except during August and on the third Sunday of the month when the children all stay in church for a family friendly service.
All children are in church for the first part of the service. After the first hymn they are invited to the front of the church to light the peace candle and say a prayer before going to the hall for their activities. The children return to church in time for a blessing - at the altar rail with their parents/carers (children in the Junior Choir return a little earlier).
Most third Sundays there will be a trip for children and sometimes their parents. The trips are usually suitable for all ages, although some may require younger children to be accompanied. Details of these outings will be on the interactive calendar on the Events page of the website.
The under 3's are very welcome to stay in church or join 'Sparklers' with their parents. If at any point your child gets restless or bored there are toys available in the Lady Chapel on the right hand side of the church by the organ. There are also loos and nappy changing facilities in the Vestry by the pulpit on the left hand side.
