Street Pastors

Street Pastors is an inter-dominational church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets by caring, listening and talking. As of 2010 there are 3,500 street pastors worldwide.

Wandsworth Street Pastors was set up three years ago and one of the St Luke's congregation has volunteeried as part of the Wandsworth Group. At the moment teams of three or four go out, in Balham and Tooting on Friday nights and on Monday and Wednesday afternoons in Wandsworth Town. The aim is to help people on a long term basis, to understand and listen to problems and opinions without judging, with sensitivity and without evangelising, and where appropriate to give information on organisations which may help.

The headquarters of Wandsworth Street Pastors is The Salvation Army, Ram Street, SW18. Click here to email Wandsworth Steet Pastors.
